DETERMINATION UNDER RULE 62(1) AND (2) OF THE SUPREME COURT
RULES 1978 (SUSPENSION OF SITTINGS OF COURTS)
I hereby determine that :-
1. The date for the commencement of the first period of suspension of sittings of the Supreme Court, the Court of Appeal and the Courts of First Instance in the year 2020 will be on Monday the 06th April 2020.
The ordinary sittings of the other Courts of First Instance will be resumed on Monday the 20th April 2020.
The ordinary sittings of the High Courts will be resumed on Wednesday the 22nd April 2020.
The ordinary sittings of the Supreme Court and the Court of Appeal will be resumed on Monday the 27th April 2020.
2. The date for the commencement of the second period of suspension of sittings of the Supreme Court, the Court of Appeal and the Courts of First Instance in the year 2020 will be on Monday the 10th August 2020.
The ordinary sittings of the other Courts of First Instance will be resumed on Monday the 17th August 2020.
The ordinary sittings of the High Courts will be resumed on Wednesday 19th August 2020.
The ordinary sittings of the Supreme Court and the Court of Appeal will be resumed on Monday the 24th August 2020.
3.The date for the commencement of the third period of suspension of sittings of the Supreme Court, the Court of Appeal and the Court of First Instance in the year 2020 will be on Monday the 21st December 2020.
The ordinary sittings of the other Courts of First Instance will be resumed on Monday the 04th January 2021.
The ordinary sittings of the High Courts will be resumed on Wednesday the 06th January 2021.
The ordinary sittings of the Supreme Court and the Court of Appeal will be resumed on Monday the 11th January 2021.
